Not sure. Your Linux box can probably do the same thing my mac can but in a different way. I personally like Macs because of their usefulness.

1. It just meets my needs and just runs a hell of a lot more smooth then my window boxes. But no, I'm not into any of that, except for the occasional Music ripping and sometimes Video Editing.
2. I'm not sure, I haven't been there in a couple of years. Last time I was there, things were fine. I really don't know much about now.

4. That is an obvious question which deserves an obvious answer. Yes, I do. Because of the PS3, Blu-ray had abotu 11 times the install base compared to HD-DVD.
