from what i see even if you use the latest sysupdater is still not the same between o3ds and n3ds.. n3ds had more faliures and hard-bricks.. tomorrow if ktm launches we will test and see if it helps the n3ds more.. i hope, i have one xD.

Is this what that supposed to be SNShax?
SNSHax doesn't really exist.
KTM is just another downgrading tool AFAIK.

I just bought a New 3DS XL after my Original breaking the other day. I hope this is safe to downgrade with without hard brick like he said :3
Even so I suppose I should wait till it has been tested by you all.
Oh and damn, that SD card slot is annoying.
I need to transfer my NNID but I'm not a phone person, going to have to ask my friend lol.

Actually the first conversation is about Smea making his snshax repo private, I think that he wouldn't want other coders using his actual work on snshax in a badly debugged downgrader application without them understanding what snshax is actually doing. If you are replicating snshax based on the 32C3 talk you'll have to actually understand the exploit and not only copy and paste it in your code.
The second conversation was a simple yes/no question with a no as an answer, nothing to abstract from here. Smealum probably already have hiw own methods (or other coders' private methods) to mess with his 3DS units to properly debug his homebrew softwares, also probably all of his test units have hard mod to test various software combinations, so other than testing how his homebrews will act after downgrading using JustPingo's KTM he have no reason to use KTM.
And AFAIK KTM's source code is available somewhere, so Smealum don't have to actually use it to see how it was programmed.

JustPingo posted a tweet asking for people who want to help with hardmodded consoles to beta test KTM.
One could assume that this means KTM will be released very soon.

Aren't you the person who had that really unfortunate incident with the legit CIA FBI thing? I was hoping things turned out well for you, shame you had to buy another one man. I hope the downgrade process works fine for you!

Ok after 2 days of trying to downgrade it finally worked but with a error but it shows v9.2 now and everything seems to be fine i can go into setting play games on sky 3ds is the error at the end normal i had to press power down to restart when it came back on it was on 9.2 after it flashed a few cia files.

New 3DS XL
Nijahax and cubic ninja as entry point i started vgba and exit it then started systemupdater and it started working flashing cia files and gave a error at the end saying i had to hold the power button down but its on 9.2 now all working good.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother waiting. The current sysupdater has very low chance of brick, and despite what JustPingo claims KTM could still very well brick your system.

Just downgrade now if you want to. Just be careful whatever you do.

Please don't give Pingo the satisfaction of thinking his menu is anything worthwhile. Considering it took as long as it did I wouldn't expect it to work very well anyhow.

As a programmer myself I would dare to say if a software took longer to be launched and this "extra time" was properly used to develop and debug the software, then this software would be better than a rushed solution based upon previously existing code.
Thing is, I can't guarantee how JustPingo was able to use his time on KTM or how skilled he's, but supposing he did everything in the right way and he have the proper skill I would say that using a extra time to turn the software more stable is a good use of time.
Also AFAIK we don't really know if some fails or weirdly downgraded 3DS and N3DS are sysUpdate fault or the packaging of the CIA used to downgrade (most people are using pre-packaged CIAs), or both.

If the evident firmware update to 10.4 is to come out on the 12th and KTM is supposedly releasing in the next 24 hours, I do not see any harm in just waiting to be sure whether KTM is any better or not. I mean... If you're patient things have a chance of working out better, no? And if KTM isn't all it's cracked up to be then there should still be time to downgrade using any preferred method.
