I've put together this group to display interesting snacks and drinks I've come across. I'm inviting other users to post and share. Not everything has to be candy, soda or unhealthy items alike. Most of mine will be but I don't recommend anyone being like me. :-)

So for those of you who don't know, this is the original Red Bull that was first formulated and sold in Thailand, before a German marketing agent stumbled upon in and discovered it cured his hangover jet lag, and decided to try to bring it to Europe (after some tweaking). The rest is history.

The name krating daeng means "red gaur," after this absolute unit, a species of bovine that is proverbially jacked.

So on to the review.

Imagine if you took a regular Red Bull, and left it open to lose all carbonation and have half the water evaporate, then you added some more sugar to it. That's Krating Daeng. I'd say the marketing agent knew his target audience when he tweaked the drink for European tastes because the original... would not catch on.
The flavor is vaguely the same as Red Bull, it's uncarbonated, and syrupy sweet. And has twice the amount of caffeine per ounce/liter than Red Bull. Also you can feel your teeth melting while you drink it. Just as I remember.

I friggin' love it, but if anxiety-inducing cough syrup isn't for you, I'd say give it a pass.
