Gaming Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn not in 3D?

I don't remember seeing it was going to be entirely in 2D, but it sure doesn't look 3D to me.

Kind of disappointing that the last 3DS game isn't in 3D.

Do you mean the 3D effect or the use of 3D models? If you mean the 3D effect, I'm pretty sure games haven't used them for a long time. If you mean 3D models, I'm pretty sure it does use those

No, I meant stereoscopic 3D.

Luigi's Mansion used stereoscopic 3D, and that wasn't so long ago, at least relative to the rate at which games have been coming out since the Switch.

I feel like Epic Yarn could have benefited from a subtle depth showing the laying of fabric. Oh well.

Huh I actually didn't realize Luigi's Mansion used the 3D effect, probably because I never turned it on and any 3DS other than the original doesn't have a light to tell you that you can use 3D here
