Microsoft's Kudo Tsunoda, talking to Game Informer about the future of Kinect, had this to say about the current state of first-person shooters on the PC.[/p]

Usually I'd say some snarky comment, maybe try to throw a bone to Microsoft but, no, just no.

And why is the Kinect creator saying this? Well I guess they never hired the best or the brightest for their throwaway project.

Someone give this guy a medal, he won the Special Olympics. But I shouldn't insult the Special Olympics, they're so much smarter than him.

    Shall I go on?

All I know is that my first FPS experience was with Counter Strike on the PC, and now I haven't even touched them since then. Now I do still use my computer for GunZ and Guildwars. [IMG]

I only play MMOS on my PC, and play FPS's on my console, and so do all of my friends, but Microsoft is going too far here. Plenty of people play FPS's on the PC. Nintendo and Sony have something that attracts me to them, while Microsoft continues to keep me away.....

You know, sometime I read things on Internet that contradicts my daily life wildly.
I'm the only person I know who owns a console (handhelds excluded) among my friends (a wii) but that's about it. May be something is wrong with me I don't know.

Halo did nothing of the sort. There were loads of console exclusive FPS games before Halo and I'm willing to bet that 95% of them are far better than Halo.

Also, people play FPS on PC all the time. People who play FPS on consoles now either can't afford a good PC or can't play well enough to go up against people on PC.

Ah, of course. I don't play FPS on the PC because the experience is far better playing CoD with my Kinect. LOL. [IMG]

I say the same thing to you as I do to my friends who think Dual Analogue control is better than Keyboard and Mouse. STFU!!! Try playing a proper FPS on a PC for a while then try and get used to Dual Analogue. IT SUCKS IN COMPARISON!!!
Best control for FPSes on a Console will be through the Wii and Move. 'Nuff said but my friends don't believe me [IMG]

I don't believe you either, I started out on PC, but I moved to PS3, and after I got used to console controls (and FPS freeks) I felt like I had a very similar amount of control. Aim-assist does the rest.

Edit: I'm talking about the Wii & Move part, not the PC part
