hi as titles states i have two switch tablets.

one is on 2.1.0 with official account and saves

one is on 3.0.0 with no account

considering coldboot/warmboot firmware in the future: 1. which is the better one to keep intact? 2. and which one to update ?

does keeping the account on a console help in coldboot/warmboot (exploit that require account already present like 3ds game transfer exploit)?

thanks in advance

Update the one that has your account, saves, purchases etc and keep that one legit.
Warmboot should work up to 4.1. Coldboot we won't know until one is revealed, I think I heard something about a possible coldboot for 1.0.0 but that's obviously out of the question here, and that may never see the light of day anyway.

A warmboot exploit to me is not necessarily a desirable thing, what we have now with RCM is very stable, and easy to use if you have an Android phone or a dongle. A warmboot exploit might take multiple tries to work, and if you have to run a game and follow some specific steps every time to launch it, it quickly becomes less convenient than RCM. A browser based one with a custom captive portal (custom DNS) would be easier, but then you're relying on a server that could have downtime, and you'll need an internet connection every time you want to launch CFW, unless you use your phone as a hotspot and use an app, but at that point it's no different than using the phone to send a RCM payload. RCM is offline, works every time and only takes seconds to launch with a dongle or Android phone. I don't think it's gonna get much better than that until we have full coldboot (if that ever happens)
