I'm sorry but I don't know what you're trying to ask. I think you're asking if DS Roms can be run on a Yoshi-themed 3DS and if that is what you intended yes they can with a R4i Gold or a Supercard.

no, you don't need to hack a 3DS to play pirated DS games. To play pirated 3DS games on a 3DS (that goes for 3DSXL too) you need a 3DS with 4.5 or lower firmware. The Yoshi 3DS XL was just released a week ago so the firmware will be higher than 4.5.
