just two question i need to ask , how does patching work on the SDCS?
and whats the differnece between Clean mode, Patch mode and Super mode?

Patch mode / super mode / clean mode don't exist in the new firmwares.

You just have a single patch menu which allows you to activate the features or not.
If you enable patching you can enable cheats and RTS but sometimes it breaks a game (Ultimate Mortal Kombat) so you have to disable it for that game.

ok thankx thats cleared up alot but the 3 differnet modes are described on the SCDS one website? Is it because they havn't updated it yet?

They're not known to update their website all that much, so it's probably out-of-date information.

Actually, I think that "clean" mode would correspond to disabling all patching for a ROM in the SCDS1 UI, or at least that is what it would imply to me.

I think that super mode and patch mode were combined in the new OS, as it DOES support quite a few features in patch mode(default), save directly to uSD, realtime save, ingame text file viewing, cheats plus ingame control, etc.
