Gaming Just how good is NOD32

On alot of private trackers I see people saying "0m6 d00d j00 h4f 2 7074||y 7ry n0d32 17 15 73h r0x0rz!!"

So what I am asking is, how good is it really? I hear it is written in asm and is really light on resources... that cant be bad can it?

The old version was quite good, but they listened to stupid users who were confused by the interface, and now it's a pile of shiny GUI-crap like every other antivirus.
It still works pretty well, definitely in the top 3 antivirus programs.

Imo its the best antivirus program I have ever had. It's lightweight and has detected every virus thrown at my computer. I have never gotten affected by a virus since I started using it. Nod32 does its job.

It's the best in AV comparison tests and generally believed to be the best. It doesn't slow down my shitty laptop, so it can't use a lot of resources either.

On topic: Yes, eset nod32 is definitely one of the best antivirus programs you can get, and it's easy to pirate. You might as well get it.

It uses very little RAM and works amazingly. It is more catered towards business and corporate use.

Everyone once and a while I see a year subscription for NOD32 for $10 and I'm tempted. It's the best antivirus I've ever worked worth, is reletively low on resources, and is most known for the least false positives of any antivirus.

Lots of them with non-working cracks, cracks that only update the date of your definitions and not the definitions themselves, or cracks that require you to check for a new username/serial every so often to continue to work.

it's not that hard to crack, but for the license it is(or just use someone elses license), i'm using the unlimited trial the day count won't go down it either stays at 30 or 31 days

BumFace, I was using one that cracked the trial to be "unlimited trial" too.
The day would stay at 30 or 31.

I used it for a year.

I came to find out that the database wouldn't really update, just the date of the database.
I researched it more and a lot of people had the same problem!

You can't crack it properly because you require a user name and password to properly download updates, unless you get the old v2 one with the crack in which case it goes crazy at most things and can actually be more useless than what its worth. NOD32 is now on v4 so go figure how out of the loop it is and probably how inefficient it is in comparison to newer versions.

NOD32 is probably the best AV on the market, the only thing which does better than it is avira's antivir but that has far more false detects. They do a free version of that too and is just as light on memory/cpu as NOD32.

It's lightweight and has a pretty damn good detection rate.

That means it will still kick virus ass without slowing your computer down. If you ask me, that's pretty badass.
