Literally just made an account to post this since nothing else has worked. My screen goes black whenever I open this game and I have to restart the console.

JD4 is the only Just Dance game that seems to not work at all. I've tried multiple setting changes. Most of them involved switching the IOS from 249 to 250, to 224, to 222... Also changing the video mode to Disc or forcing NTSC to it.
Nothing.
I either keep getting a blackscreen, or it takes me back to the Wii menu screen.
I saw other threads suggesting a cIOS install, but I fear it'll brick my Wii. I'm pretty sure my USB Loader GX version is up to date.

Here's my syscheck (translated because it was originally in Spanish):

I'm using the NTSC version of the game. GX is on version 1281. I've tested the file on Dolphin Emulator and it works perfectly fine.
I've updated my cIOS to v11-beta3 as explained in the guide you sent. Tried loading the game again (Video: Forced NTSC, Custom IOS: 250, Block IOS reload: No), and it unfortunately black-screened again.
Other posts say their problem was fixed after moving their game from an SD card to a USB memory, I have yet to try that, but I do not have a usb drive at my disposal at the moment.

Why not use v4.0 r1282? It's right there in the first post of the gx stickied thread and it fixes Just Dance games (not only just dance "mods" as per the changelog)
You were absolutely right! I just downloaded Rev. 1282, reset JD4's settings to default and it finally opened!

On another note I think USBLGX is now on a stretched 4:3 aspect ratio? It looks squished when I open it and I'm used to the 16:9 look.

The aspect ratio of the loader itself hasn't changed at all. And I'm sure if you were to take a picture of both versions of the loader you'd see that too.

You'll want to check for updates in another 2 weeks, since I should have a stable version released by then and the test version will stop working not long after.
