Greetings, I am new here. I am sorry if this has been asked/answered by someone.

Is there a way to play Monster Hunter 4G (JPN) online with a US firmware/hardware? Would Gateway make it work?

Gateway should make it work yes, provided the copy you get is online patched, so a 3DZ file would do the trick.
