Hi~

So basically, i want to import a japanese 3ds but i know that the voltage in japan is like 110v and here its 240v right, so a english charger wouldn't work (UK, not US)

I'd google'd the transformers thing but it wasn't very handy, if someone could give me infomations into it, it'd be appreciated.

the power pack is designed for the country of use ,,, so a uk power pack has 230V in and a 3ds voltage out : a jap powerpack will have a jap voltage in and 3ds voltage out.... see whats happening here ?

No. Listen really carefully.
Use a UK charger.
It will convert the UK mains voltage into the voltage required by the 3DS.
If you were using it in Japan you'd want a Japanese charger to convert the Japanese voltage into the voltage required by the 3DS. But you're not. You're in the UK. So use a UK charger.

and most chargers support 110~240v anyway, by looking at the plug :)
you have nothing to worry about.
if you were buying a high powered blender or something, then yes you should worry!

All 3DS devices use the same voltage worldwide.
The regional chargers convert the wall socket voltage to the one the 3DS needs.
Since it's the same worldwide, you can use the UK charger with a Japanese 3DS.
