Hacking Its not worth hacking the switch

There is no way to player newer games on older firmwares like the 3ds or have newer firmware but still keep the cfw like the 3ds not to mention i think online bans will happen way more often on the switch.
1. That's your opinion
2. You don't know if we are going to be able to run newer games on older firmware, homebrew might let us
3. You also don't know if we are going to be able to keep our CFW on newer firmwares, homebrew might let us do that too
4. This is way more different than the 3DS
5. You can't "think" that something will happen and then make an outright statement that it's not worth it in your title
6. You thinking that it's not worth it won't stop anyone from actually hacking it

Are those enough flaws? This is a pointless thread.

This thread is pointless, but I'll give an example. If game patching via homebrew happens sometime soon (like it has always happened for consoles so far on way or another) while also being able to decrypt games (don't know current state for this but doubt it would take that long to do after this long), that's literally all it will take to run the newer games! That means you can stay on your old firmware and have everything and more except for online (which is gonna be paid soon anyway so not many people will play online anymore).

So that thing about opinions...
That's not an opinion, that's a fact. Not everyone can or will pay for online, just like how many people have a PS4/Xbox1 but don't have online, either because they can't pay for it or don't want to pay for something that's supposed to be free.

It's an opinion. The sooner you accept that, the better. Paid online isn't new to anyone. It coming to Nintendo at such a cheap price won't deter nearly as many people as you think.

I'm not talking about deterrence! Read what I said before replying and claiming a fact is an opinion. Not everyone can pay for it and not everyone who can will! If people are casual players who only have 2-3 games, they most likely won't pay for online. If people prefer single player games and only have 1-2 online games, they are very likely to stick to offline play rather than pay online. It's not an opinion, it's a fact that's been proven right every single time there was paid online so far (PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox 1)!

It's NOT a fact. You'd have something to support your broken logic..

Also, Xbox has been paid online since the beginning. So yay?

Also, deter is definitely the right terminology here.

Do you know what a fact is? Something that is true and has been repeatedly proven true. What I said has been proven true three times already and is perfectly logical! Why are you saying it's "broken logic"? Are you saying that there are NO people who can't pay for online? Are you saying that EVERYONE will pay for online even if they don't have any online games? Are you saying people who don't care about online will pay for it regardless? Seems like the broken logic is that of yours, as you seem to think that EVERYONE will undoubtedly pay for it...

As for Xbox, when did I say it hasn't been paid online? Finally, about the "deter", do you think deter fits for those people who are underage, so they CAN'T pay for online without permission from guardian? Because I'm sure that has nothing to do with deterrence and it has to do with the fact I've been explaining over and over...

There's a big difference between saying "fewer people will go online" and "most people won't go online"

Good luck playing newer games. What can a hacked Switch do that other hacked consoles can't? Just my two cents. Aside from loading backups...
Portable emulation of more powerful systems, mainly

The problem is, I foresee another PS3-like situation, where only super low firmware versions will have exploits, leaving a majority of users SOL; one should not have to spend 300 dollars to get a secondary exploitable console.

Supposedly Plutoo's managed to decrypt 4.0 stuff, so there's definitely still hope
