Hacking iSmart MM GBA Emulator Problem

I tried running the Pokémon Fire Red (E/U) rom (.gba) on NDSGBA for the iSmart Multimedia, but every time I saved the game there was a save error and backup memory needed to be replaced. I am using this on a DS Lite. NDSGBA version is 1.2, but I don't think there is any other version.

Is there anyway to change the save type to 128kb? I want the solution for iSmart MM, not DSTWO or iPlayer. Thanks!

i thought ndsgba was only for a dstwo, where did you get that version?

The iSmart MM firmware came with it. DSTWO's game_config.txt doesn't work on this, and Pokémon Fire Red needs a 128kb save file to run. Sadly, this emulator only supports 64kb.

I've also used gbaemu4ds, but the game crashes when you encounter a wild Pokémon.

the structure and files almost look like the ones on the dstwo, it also uses plg files, so did ya tried to use the dstwo emulators? maybe one works.. or try to use the cfg files..

I tested it but they didn't work. Do you have an alternate solution? Maybe if you edit the plg file and make it support the iSmart...
