Is unlocking the USB speeds possible?

I've heard that the Switch has USB 3.0 ports on the dock, but the software caps it to USB 2.0 speeds. Have any efforts been made to lifting the cap?

Furthermore, could similar changes be made to Micro SD card speeds?

Nope, the switch dock is still limited to the USB 2.0 speed, as for the Micro SD it is limited to UHS-1 speed, so maximum is 104MB/s

Specific microSD cards can go faster but this isn't supported under HOS and i don't think this will be added to Atmosphere any time soon.

The rear port of the dock is USB 3.0 though. So you can test it with your USB 3.0 SSD drive in DBI, for example.
