Kernelspace = a little more access, enough for warez (which I assume is what you're after). Publicly available < 5.5.0 - newer ones are private so Nintendo won't fix them right away.
IOSU = control over everything. Only a select few have this. They were pissed of by ungreateful 13 year olds and ceased public communication.
