Hacking Is this price fair?

i put a9lh on my 2ds about 3 months ago, i bricked the first time but tried to downgrade with new 3ds firmware........

but now i have a9lh and every game i want. just be careful man and follow all the directions carefully and you should be fine.

i also see it this way (as i´m offering HardMOD as well)

Of cause it looks easy to the most of you, cause you have it done before. But....

to gain the level of knowledge you invest time.. Lots of time... It´s not just reading
the Guides how to do a HardMod... You also have to know how to solder etc. so the basic
knowledge needs to be learned before laying hand on somebody elses Device.

The the proper equiment. You have to buy it. A "one time User" will buy a soldering station for a tenner
cause he won´t need this Iron anytime again. "We" buy Soldering Station for 200 up to 500 Euros...
This is an investment you have to do and no customer ever ask´s what i am soldering with. He does´nt have to but i know what i payed one Day.
USB Card Reader (not expensive but also an investment.

Then think about whats happening if one of the Flex-Connectors brakes during the Process.... This can simply just happen.
Who is responsible then? Most likely the Person who did the Downgrade. No doubt about that.
So if something like this happens (wich thankfully not happend buy now) i go in the Shop and buy a brand nwe Device for the Customer..
When sonething like this happens you are thinking f.E. 30 € for the Downgrade and now im buying a brand new one... Then do the Downgrade once more...
Risk is always on my side...

Then after Downgrade (which always can cause some trouble) you need to do the
Software Part. Fair enough that isn´t very Hard for the most of us as we are in the Materia
wuit a long time. But. there are enough people donßt have a clue what it´s about
they simply follow the Tut and when ANYTHING doesn´t go as in the Tut the Probs start.

So most of my Customers are very easy with them two Price options.

Most take just the Downgrade others clearly say they want the hole Package as they are affraid
something goes wrong during installation...

And then (we shouldn´t forget that...) why are people letting this done to there Devices?
Right! I´ll say 99% don´t want to pay the Games. You all know what one Game comes...
No problem in Paying the Modder once and never spent money on that Device again...

Quite a good deal i would say ;-)

80 Dollars is of cause way to much! And that insurance Part... Well like i said when something happens
to a Device from a Customer i will exchange it straight away cause i did the Damage (even if it wasn´t
on Purpose)...

Well ... just my 5 Cent... ;-)

Definitely worthwhile for a hardmod, but the OP was quoted for just the a9lh installation by software.

yeah there has been one or 2 "mishaps" when i have been doing consoles, one such case being i accidentally tore the camera ribbon cable on a 2DS and i had to get another one from my own personal 2DS to replace it with, i have even done small free extra fixes for people for free or just parts in the past, i.e replacing the thumb stick on a console that had it snapped as i had one in ok condition going spare so i just threw it in while i was there

Hello, I would like to ask whether the following prices are worth it for a full installation and set-up of A9LH on a N3DS via the DSiware downgrade method.

I have contacted a local private vendor who has quoted me AU$80 for a full installation of A9LH and Luma on my N3DS running 11.0 firmware.

He then proceeds to make claims about the risks of bricking and that an additional insurance payment of AU$50 will entitle me to a new console if it ever happens to my 3DS.

In total it will cost me AU$130 (US$100) for a 'risk-less' installation of A9LH.

I want to know whether this is fair for this kind of service.
I paid $100 for a o3DS on version 4.5 to downgrade my New3DS. Not to mention the 8 or so hours it took me to follow the tutorial, those nand backups and transfers are very time consuming. $130 Dollars is a fair price from a contractor's point of view.

yeah, but you can then re-sell your o3DS once you have done the downgrade, not to mention i wouldn't charge someone top dollar for time taken if that time is actually spent watching tv or playing candy crush or something mundane while waiting for a nand dump

100 USD? fuck that shit, i would pay 20 USD maybe 50 if i had no choice but higher just fuck him

and that "extra insurance" is just mafia bullshit "it's screwed cuz you didn't pay the extra"

what a scam

i charged 10 bucks tho people in the school back in the psp era to install cfw
i know hardmod the console takes a lot more effort risks and skills, but for 100 usd i would rather get another console (like new) for a little extra already modded
