Is there any Homebrew System files for the M3DS Real?
So I have a whole different GUI.

There was a big discussion about hacking/patching firmware from other flashcarts to work on M3, and particularly the other way round to get Sakura on other flashcarts. The general consensus was that it would be harmful to the flashcart companies and would detract from the experience of each flashcart.

So basically, the firmware for each flashcart is developed by the makers of the flashcart and no-one else. That keeps everybody happy, especially when they occaisionally produce an entire remake of their firmware (such as the case of M3 Sakura).

You could probably hack the AK RPG firmware to run on any card, if needed.

That... completely defies what I just said >.>

It may be possible (and some people have done it) but the point was that if everybody could just get the cheapest flashcart and use CycloDS, M3 Sakura and AK RPG firmware on it (using Sakura's triple boot) then it would pretty much destroy the market. Nobody would pay the... $80+ dollars? for AK RPG, would they, if they can just get DSTT (for example) for around $20.

Yes but you cant argue the fact that most people with Flash-Cards
download games illegely anyway, so why would they care if they get a
Firmware illegely?

How can you do that?

Because, we are all pirates, and we have our dignity and pride!!

The right answer would be that hacked firmware wouldn't get updates when original would, so you would have to hack it all over again every time the update gets released...The other reason would be that hacking all of the good firmwares to work on cheap carts would probably result in making stronger protection on firmwares OR destroying the whole scene of quality carts, as developers wouldn't bother to make nice firmwares and update them, as other flashcart users could just take them, without buying the proper flashcart.....

Just buy yourself a cart you want, and have a firmware you think is the best....!!!

A good example of that is the Scds1. Supercard Team had dealt with clones of their slot 2 Supercards which used their firmware so when thay released Scds1, they encrypted the core of the Scds1 OS so that it couldn't launch roms on other flashkarts. It can still launch homebrew and such though.
