Homebrew Question Is the ultimate "Switch Pro" experience an emulator?

Nah, theres lots of games that dont play well. Its a good emulator but hardly a replacement for a real switch, Pro or otherwise

Is Yuzu really the way to go if you want to play these games looking the best they can without the janky hardware?

Why dont you test it ? Just check their site for specs recommended and you are good to go. If I were you then its better for you to test. I have seen many games running great on specs recommended and a brand new PC as well.

What makes me want to use an emulator even though I have a real hardware is after seeing this:
https://blog.ryujinx.org/introducing-resolution-scaling/

But emulators are not stable enough yet to be used as an hardware alternative, hopefully we get a "Switch Pro" with enough power so I don't need to think to play those games on PC

Maybe you will think about Switch PRO emulator one day when it is available with 5k on PC. ;)

The whole point of a switch is portability so the 2 will never be comparable on the point.
The only benefit may be upscaling of games in the future bits that's it really.
Since the switch is a massive indie console sometimes graphics aren't the ultimate goal.

The real pros play Switch handheld in bed.

A feeling of comfiness PC players can't even imagine.

There is no rule that you can't have a PC and a TV in your room to play PC in bed.

Eventually emulation will be the best way to play Switch games, but I think it will be several years yet before PC hardware, game support, optimizations and bonus features make it better than a real console. In the meantime, enjoy Wii, Wii U, 3ds and other older consoles at 4k on PC with state save and speedup.
