Since the latest official update, my Switch Lite has been experiencing weird performance issues. Games that used to run pretty smooth like Prince of Persia Lost Crown are now dropping frames and stuttering, not a crazy amount as might be expected from a heating problem or bottleneck but a noticeable amount.

Might be paranoid, but I don't trust Nintendo anymore. Is anyone else experiencing issues since the recent official firmware updates? This has nothing to do with custom consoles - I have a vanilla Switch Lite ver. 20.1.1 and my games are physical carts upgraded to the latest versions. Are there any performance fixes I haven't tried that might be the problem? I've cleared the online cache, tried playing in airplane mode, but nothing seems to help.

I still have my switch lite and my OLED JB. I don't notice any difference with the latest update. I am playing snowrunner with my lite and it still run fine for me no notiecable dips or whatever.

What do you mean?
If you have CFW, boot into Hekate and check your emmc and sd card :
https://switchway.net/check-microsd-card/

The emmc can run in 1-bit mode in case there is some problem with the datalines.
That will make it 8 times as slow.
If you use an emummc then your SD card might have some issue.
As mentioned, it can also be the SD card reader.
Sometimes the connection between the reader and the motherboard get bad, giving a lot of read errors that slow things down.

Thanks for your reply! However, it's an unmodded Switch.

I haven't noticed any performance changes on my V1 Switch, no...

But one thing that OFW 20 introduced is a new EULA that it keeps checking whether the users logged in your console have accepted.

Many people report that this constant checking has caused an increase in energy consumption until the EULA was accepted, which can be momentarily circumvented by putting the console in airplane mode.

So my questions are:

* Have you accepted the new terms?
* Do you notice any difference if playing in airplane mode

That being said, I haven't heard of any problems regarding performance due to the above. So it's a bit of a long shot anyway.
