Have a 3.1usa console. Tried running the TP hack, everything was ok up to the point of rebooting the console. It turns out the boot.dol file was missing on the SD card, and the process halted during the cycle. Now the console will not read any discs. Any ideas for a rescue plan?
    Thanks in advance.

you need to put the boot.dol(homebrew channel) on the root of your sd card... and what games is it not reading, LoZ:TP?

    I don't think so...
Just restart your wii a few times... maybe unplug it let it sit a little plug it back in...
if it still does not read discs... You could try to update it to 3.2 via the rescue menu...
using the savemiifrii method and my newley released 3.2 update disc if you have a modchip...

if no modchip the try cIOS Downgrader to upgrade to 3.2...

Sorry for my obvious noob'ness , but the issue is I can't boot ANY discs after the incident, not even TP, everything else including all the regular channels are ok, homebrew channel never got installed, what are my options? If I choose to run the NED 3.4 system update, will that at the very least restore original functionality?
    Thanks again

You might have been just unlucky and it was your drive's time to die.
