Have a 3.1usa console. Tried running the TP hack, everything was ok up to the point of rebooting the console. It turns out the boot.dol file was missing on the SD card, and the process halted during the cycle. Now the console will not read any discs. Any ideas for a rescue plan?
Thanks in advance.

I don't think so...
Just restart your wii a few times... maybe unplug it let it sit a little plug it back in...
if it still does not read discs... You could try to update it to 3.2 via the rescue menu...
using the savemiifrii method and my newley released 3.2 update disc if you have a modchip...

Sorry for my obvious noob'ness , but the issue is I can't boot ANY discs after the incident, not even TP, everything else including all the regular channels are ok, homebrew channel never got installed, what are my options? If I choose to run the NED 3.4 system update, will that at the very least restore original functionality?
Thanks again

do you have a modchip if yes try looking at my signature for 3.2 update disc...
if no than install hbc and use cios downgrader to upgrade to 3.2....

he cant install hbc, because he cant load zelda.

Which leads to!!!!:

IronMask's Walmart Wii-swap method if your warranty has run out.
