Hardware Is my ps4 pro defective? (rest mode issue)

Hey guys, so I purchased a new ps4 pro about 3 days ago, 4.55 firmware. Whenever I put my ps4 in rest mode for an extended time (5+ mins), it wakes up to only a black screen and no audio. I'm using a 1080p monitor and the ps4 is plugged into a 3 way hdmi splitter if that matters. I have tried the common settings tweaks that others have done like toggling off hdcp, fixing resolution to 1080p , and setting RGB colors to limited to no avail.

that's not normal. are you sure it's not the splitter? I've had mine do some weird things.

Thanks for the heads up, that seems to have fixed my issue. Did not think anything of the hdmi splitter since it has not given me any problems for years on my ps3, wii u and initial boot.

I have a splitter that would tear the screen randomly. it would happen with my wii u in virtual wii only, so I thought it might have something to do with the theme I had installed on the virtual wii. then, it did it with the ps3, then the ps4 (all were using different channels of the splitter). I then gave the splitter a power supply (didn't have one originally, so I used a cell phone cable) since it sometimes wouldn't detect a signal. it hasn't happened since.
