no? this guide is fine (and tons of people will probably tell you to use it).

It likely will never get easier than that guide. The guide is good, it works well, its LONG but easy to follow.

so pretty much part 1 and 2 is all i need. which is pretty much install homebrew then install downgrade

You should do it completely, so you can have it all up to arm9loaderhax. If you follow it completely, without skipping a step, you will end up with the 3DS being completely modded :3

Unless you want Menuhax, which is slower and other stuff that makes it a bit...off compared to A9LHhax.
