Only problems I had with Skyward Sword was with calibration but I fast learned I needed to calibrate with flat surface and that d-pad down was my best friend. Other one was Ghirahim which required fast change of direction which would result swing but then realized I needed to actually swing sword by waving it instead swinging it forward.

No other problems at all and that's still one of my best games I have ever experienced. That's why it makes me bit sad and confused why so many seem to have problems with it.

I have also been wondering why there aren't any motion control stuff with Wii U but I guess it comes down to fact that it's not primary control method of the system, so making game that would require it would lessen the playerbase. My PS3 Move aka lollipop has been hanging on the wall after I finished the Okami HD because games simply won't support it even though it seems to be even more accurate than motion plus is and then other games have it tagged on which doesn't make it that good.

Also Kinect seems to be mostly joke and nerd toy as there's no buttons and everything requires some kind of motion which limits its uses in games. Also I can imagine voice commands to be bit...embarrassing? Imagine screaming "charge" in Ryse by yourself on flat in the middle of the night.

I don't think motion gaming to be dead, but simply now everyone has moved to touch screen gaming and "HC" gamers still keep their primary control types. I guess we'll see new rise when virtual reality becomes new thing. Especially with playstation it means lollipop controllers get more popular.

I've said before that I found the controls to be okay, what I can't say is that I've never become frustrated playing Skyward Sword and that's because of the controls. Yes, after a few tries I could learn ways to get to the point that I perform the same action perfectly every time, but because it didn't work as intended the first time, it left the impression that the controls were not polished enough. Forward stabbing was my biggest problem. The game always interpreted my forward stab as a sideways slash. Irk.

PS3 Move is more accurate than MotionPlus, that's fact. It's just as you said though, games need to take advantage of it for it to work properly. Try playing in a well-lit room though and it can become confused in more ways than one as it relies on light and contrast. :(

Kinect is a joke. I've never played a session of Just Dance on Xbox 360 without Kinect confusing my left and right arms or confusing me with another person in the room entirely (e.g. a friend sitting on the couch even). I don't know about the accuracy of the new 2nd generation Kinect, but I'd just rather hold something in my hand. Navigating menus in Just Dance using Kinect is just tiresome. (Wave your hands in the air for long periods of time just to make one selection...)

Don't "HC" gamers play with a mouse and keyboard? ;)

"well-lit room" haven't seen that for a while :P

I put quotes on "HC" for reason as I don't exactly like the whole word but let's just say I would never play fighting or driving game with mouse and keyboard. Haven't seen single athlete who would wear shorts full year either just because it's best wear at summer.

Nice to know that kinect is actually a joke. Xbox is only console I have never owned and sometimes simply wondered that were all those youtube videos just overkill to raise comical value.

no they didn't. the sword controls worked fine the rest was absolutely atrocious. i remember with the dive controls i practically almost had to turn my mote upside down to get them to work correctly. and don't get me started on how buggy the bomb controls were...and motion controls for swimming get the fuck out of here! worst...zelda...eva!

Work you god damn piece of shite! lol

I Last I checked, Microsoft isn't giving up on Kinect a

If there is a statement that is untrue more than this, I don't know where to find it. Where have you been since the announcement of Kinect 2.0? You need to get out more.

Nintendo Wii U doesnt come with the Motion Controllers that made the Wii Popular.
Clearly Nintendo wanted to move in a different direction.

Yes, the cheaper console direction.
