PS1 emu on a PSP is fantastic. Very very few games cant run on it.

afaik the emulator Chankast for PSP (which only runs on the Psp slim because of the 64 mb ram) was just a test to build up a better one on the Pandora

PSX emulation is built into PSP firmware, both OFW and CFW. It's simply POPS. POPSloader is also a useful little plugin for the few PSX games that have problems with certain versions of POPS. See other posts about this for links to the gamerspress compatibility list. I'm lazy this morning.
