It's inconvenient having to disable tubehax everytime that I need to use eShop or update the games, so I though I could have a second connection but setting the tubehax as default.

Now it tubehax fails to connect it should fall back on 0.0.0.0 (dummy DNS) and doesn't have internet access... The normal connection has access to eShop etc but itsn't default, not sure what are the chances Wii U itself change to the normal one.

The flow should be like this:
Tubehax if fails, then falls on dummy DNS (0.0.0.0), then no connection at all

Or it is like:
Tubehax if fails, then falls on dummy DNS (0.0.0.0), dummy fails, then search for working connection, then Nintendo update my system to 5.5.2

?

I self host with ez share on 5.3.2 and kexdroid on 5.5.1, so no need for tubehax, no need dummy or anything, for eshop: just nus if i need it.

No danger :)
