I don't trust the updates. Maybe I'm paranoid but I feel safer skipping them.
I'm not sure what benefits I'd get from updating anywhere so why bother?

(I found Clock + L2 Cache, I had to hold SELECT on boot)
The only thing that doesn't work on 11.3 right now is the Homebrew Launcher. You're safe to update.
Do you have Luma (latest) and arm9???
If so, you are good as golden to update. I did, and FreeShop, CIAngel, etc still works but NTR doesn't yet..
Press X when you launch BootNTR Selector to update it to 2.5, which supports 11.3.

Well ctr-httpwn didn't work anyway so I guess I have to.
Yes, I have Luma and Arm9.

I... Think? It's not clear.

On the Luma updater it says...

Current installed version: 6.6-1eb18c17
Latest version (Github): 6.6

Same number but I don't know what the deal is with the extra characters at the end.
Doesn't matter what the hourly build is, as long you have 6.6, you're fine.

Well I just installed the hourly build before I saw this message. No I have to re-do my config.

I'll have to go back to the guide.
What do you mean re-do the config??
I installed the hourly build before updating last night, and everything went smooth as butter.

It's just stuff like "Autoboot SysNAND" and "Use SysNAND FIRM if booting with R" which is outlined in the guide anyway.

I may have been playing my FreeShop games all this time without the title keys. When I boot Freeshop I always see the updating keys so I think I did it right. I'm pretty sure I put the bin file on my 3DS a few weeks ago but I am not sure. I keep WiFi off and play offline anyway.

You don't need the title keys to play the games, only to download them from freeShop. You can turn your Wi-Fi on. Nintendo can't track you for using freeShop.

Thanks. I have a 32GB card slap full so I guess I did it properly. I need a bigger SD card but I'm out of dough. :(
