Hacking Is it possible to reset from a hard brick?

But remember that the CTR transfer process need that your 3DS firms to be 'intact'. If the NAND is kill, the firms could be kill too.

But well, this guy doesn't have any Backups so i doubt he would loose anything.
If he can open arm9 payloads, firms probably aren't dead

I'm pretty sure that unless he messed around with the A9LH installation, he can use a CTRNAND transfer for recovering. A9LH has FIRM protection, so if it was caused by something else, they are fine.

Since he can boot the payloads, he can restore, as easy as that.

If the 3DS didn't load the payloads, then yes, his firm is broken and just got a nice paperweight.
 
I'd say at least once a month for the nand + sd card. You can delete the one from before (except the stock 9.2 nand)
