Hardware Is it possible to play VC without a classic controller?

Is there any hardware bypass to use a GC controller or something? Or am I aimlessly hoping?

I don't think so, but you can get a Thrustmaster wireless Gamecube-compatible controller for real cheap.
($3 + shipping on ConsumerDepot.com)

You can use the GC controller on most virtual console games. I think. Right?

You can use the gcn on all vc games. The wii considers a gamecube controller a classic controller.

And on NES and some other systems games (like sonic) even the wiimote suffices.
