ROM Hack Is it possible to change the Pokemon version you're playing?

I own Pokemon Ultra Sun. Is it possible to turn it into Pokemon Ultra Moon while keeping my data? I believe this was possible in former generations, but I haven't heard about it for this one.

Yes, just change the game card.

The only thing I know if is changing the clock (via a save editor) to +12 hours (so it's night time in-game while day in the real world and vice versa). No idea about somehow getting cross-game 'mons to spawn instead however.

Yoy can convert the save but not the rom its not too much exclusive data that would need to be converted.

In order games you could just rename the save and it would work. Worked on the DS games as well.

No idea about the 3ds ones. Dump it and try it with checkpoint.

Saves are interchangable between versions. Backup the save and import it on the opposite version, that's it.

Saves have been interchangeable since Gen 1. Gen 7 needs you to play with the version/clock offset in PKHeX to run correctly though, but it'll still work if you just swap the saves.
