Gaming Is HD worth it?

I was just wondering is HD on the wii worth it. Like buying cables for it and all? Can someone show me apic of the differnce between no hd and hd? And i will be using it to play CoD pretty much so ya...Any one can tell me if its worth it?

Here's a comparison with and without the cables. Put your mouse over the pics to see them with component cables. That's a pretty old comparison but it should give you an idea. I've never tried them with COD so i can't comment on the difference it will make.

Component cables are worth it, yeah.

It does add more noticeable jaggies, but the positive is it makes things a bit sharper and cleaner and a little more vibrant too.

Component video looks awesome, I have it. BUT 480p is hardly HD.

The graphics just improve a bit from 420i to 420p.
The only reason I got it was so that I could watch my TV and do the Wii.My Tv requires it.

Anyone try VGA cables? I heard it's better but haven't tried it myself.

There are rumours Nintendo will release a revision of the Wii in 2010, that will support HD technology much better.
So if you really want HD graphics, and don't have a Wii yet, wait for that one. It may never come though....

seeing as the cable is only about £5 inc p&p on that big auction place, why not just get it anyway!!
