I've looked around and I couldn't find any thread that tells me which is the best NES emulator. The closest I got was DSnes. My only problem is that the emulator hasn't been updated since later 2008. Is there another emulator that's more frequently updated or has work stopped on NES emulation?

It's NES DS, not the other way around, but yeah that's the best NES emulator for the DS. The only other one that's been updated since then is NesterDS+, but that uses software-based emulation, so it's more graphically accurate but much slower in speed.

nesDS is pretty much perfect. Almost 100% compatibility, and a very easy to use rewind feature that is GREAT for those old school platformers that are hard as hell (contra anyone?). I would recommend it.

Where can I find documentation on this emulator? I just tried it and it works, but I have no idea how to use savestates and things like that.

is there an issue with NesDS with AKAIO. I have issue trying to use the save state and punch out has various graphic glitches.

punch out and rad racer have graphical glitches. some other games too. there's a compatibility thread somewhere around here

that would be in the sticky section were there's an abundance of useful information which is almost always never looked at
