Hacking Is data communication possible through the gamecard slot?

is there a reason why for over 13 years nobody has made a custom pcb to use the 8 bidrectional buses on the gamecard slot for communication? it could be used for video capture and so much more.

ive been planning on doing something exactly like this for a bit so before i embark on my journey i want to make sure that its actually possible.

There is physical capture card out there but nothing go through cartridge slot.

Sure. Checkpoint and such can access the card slot so I don't see why not.

You can read and write like save data to cartridge so yes on send and receive data through the slot.
