You can go up to 1TB of micro SD storage, SX OS is dead but they did had the feature to run game off HDD.

Game size can vary quite a bit depending on game, to get a rough idea you could check out the sizes of some of the games you were most interested in?

Just seen on amazon 256gb for about £23
Bargain in my opinion
Prob go for that then

Just cant get my head around…
2tb drive on the wii u
And 256gb memory card on the switch lol

I use a 1TB, have to say though that I also have plenty of roms and Lakka on it and still ~350gb free space, really depends how you use it.
Without Lakka I would say 512gb have you covered for everything major that was released and is going to be released. Also pretty cheap to get, I believe in July Amazon had them for around $30-$40 during prime day, so maybe use a smaller leftover sd for now and wait fo a bit to get a good deal.

Once u got the 256gb setup and running is it easy to upgrade it later on? I think prob not or it depends on which option you setup by

Ten people, ten opinions. Completely pointless question - it all depends on how many games you want to have available at one time. Every game is different in size, 256gb can hold 200 Indie games, 15 space-demanding AAA titles or any combination in between.

How easy upgrading is depends on how you set up your console. If you hack your Sysnand, it's just a matter of copying everything from SD1 to SD2. If you set up an Emunand, you'd have to copy that partition as well. But that is another topic.

I'd say spend the extra 10 bucks and get 400GB. That will hold tons of games.

Yep went with 512gb
Half a terra should prob be enough for now

£50 for that
A fairly reasonable price 👍🙏

I don't even have a modded switch and I have a 512gb card. Oddly enough, 256gb was nowhere enough for me, but 512gb is somehow too much.
