Apple ipod battery dies fast after 4.1 update

so I updated my ipod touch 2g MC model 8gb to iOS 4.1
and I turned off wifi and the brightness is down on low along with the volume and everything
its only less then a week old got it from ebay lol brand new not opened
how do I fix this or do I have to wait tell iOS 4.2?

Most likely due to background APIs. After you run an app, remember to double click your home. That will bring up the multi-task menu. Press and hold on an app until it's in the jiggle mode, and close the app thru the minus button. That should lengthen the battery life.

Multitasking doesn't work on 2g MC models... unless you jailbreak.
Wait for 4.2, it's supposedly going to be faster for older devices.
