Hacking iPlayer Video help please.

Ok so mine doesn't recognize mpeg4 videos....what's going on? And there is no sound on wmv videos...do I need a different audio formatt for them? Thanks.
 
tested a lot of formats myself the review is in my signature

how large is the MP4 you tested!?
 
First I know I could of edited above but wanted to make sure OP etc sees this

Right some more testing with MP4 videos tested with 200mb mp4 movie it stuttered occasionally in the middle more so if I used the progress bar to skip forward or backward

A very interesting find was though....To rename the file extension from .MP4 to .AVI

...result is WORKS and plays fine and NO LAG no freezes can skip forward and backward with the progress bar!!!

EDIT: Wait, it doesn't work with H.264 encoded ones. While playback is MUCH better, seek is still sort of broken for me, minor stutters, while watchable, not as perfect as my other mp4 files.

don't have any h.264 encoded files to test atm its not the type of file I use regular

altho does fix normal kinda encoded mp4's for lag ... considering its not a listed format we are lucky it works at all
