Honestly I'm not sure which chassis style I prefer more.

I would think the previous feels better in your hands, this newer, industrial-style model has some of the jarring edges present in most other handsets.

Instead of making an iphone yearly they should make one, every year and a half to show at least some results, apple with each release is not showing THAT much progress releasing yearly. APPLE ROCKS, But that YEARLY THEORY SUCKS!!!!

Uh, they've completely revamped the device with a new software revision (that contains major functionality additions), much faster processor, two new cameras, additional sensors, a ridiculously high-resolution panel, and a brand new (antennae enhancing) chassis on top of it all.

*snip

That's a pretty limited poll.

Of course I'd prefer the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 3GS because it's a better piece of hardware. Who the hell wouldn't? But would I ever touch the iPhone OS ("iOS") platform with a ten foot pole?

Not a chance.

People who actually read the poll title?

I'm planning to get an iPhone 4G, as long as it's jailbreakable

Here's a comment on Gizmodo i found clever.
Meh...heres a draft of my break up letter...

Apple, I really liked you, but we have grown apart. You keep carrying the water for your old network, retreading old ideas and scream how creative you are to cover the fact that you really are not comfortable with your position in this relationship.

I tried to like the iPad and the last iPhone, but you are so insecure with yourself that I feel that if you see me with an Android phone or notebook on the street you will have a mental breakdown and cry.

When I come home at night, I just want some "me" time and not be told what I can and can not do. I can not even look at customizing my own wardrobe without letting you see if it might be too risque' to wear in public.

I am fee bad and wish you luck in the future, but I have found a new phone. He is open, strong and lets me be myself. His name is EVO and we are going to give a new relationship a try. Well, we are off to tethering practice, so I have to go.

Call me and maybe we can get lunch sometime...as friends

If im clearly an idiot, then you are clearly a bitch.
Im just trying to make a point.
The iphone 4 is best so far but 3gs and below are not that different from each other.
SOO THANK YOU BITCH HAVE A NICE DAY.

The iPhone isn't the only phone, you know.

^^^This. A few more poll options would be nice.

It looks nice of course the shell. Generally most Apple products do. I just wouldn't touch it because of its more closed nature. For now I'll be sticking to my more open Android based Nexus one for now.

Actually the 3GS had vastly improved hardware over the previous models as well, including but not limited to a brand new processor+GPU chipset, camera, the digital compass, double the RAM, double the flash storage, and it's own software update (that among other things added copy/paste, voice control, video recording, and turn-by-turn navigation).

Swing and a miss.

Im sorry for my rudeness but this conversation is not working out. Please... Have a nice day.

Well, this thread took a weird turn.

Hehe...that's pretty good.

I still think that Apple and Nintendo should join forces someday. Their products look similar enough.
Think about it:
Macintosh Classic - GameBoy
Macintosh II - GameBoy Color
iMac G3 - Translucent GBA
eMac - GBA SP
iMac G4 - GBA SP Rev. 2
Mac Mini - Nintendo Wii
...and so on.

As for the new iPhone, I don't use AT&T for cell service, so not really any opinions here other than that video calling has been available on common Japanese cellphones for what, the past 6 years?

Wow, we get tech late.

It's been pretty common on phones sold here for about that long as well.

It's just a stupid feature, that looks good on paper but very few people end up actually using regularly.

The video chat is stupid and a scam. You could buy phones that did video chat for years but Steve Jobs acts like he just now made it real.

He did make it real because now it is APPLEFIED, and now any new phones that feature video chat will be called copycats.
