Yeah, I would guess it would be a combo of the batteries and screen. The screen is bigger, so more surface heat.RupeeClock said:Funny, regular iPod touches don't overheat in the sun do they? Because the iPad's circuitry is near identical.
You know, except for the giant batteries to power the large display.
OOOOOHHHHH, it's the batteries, of course.

Other than, y'know, the bigger processor, larger batteries, huge display, adapted Touch OS presumably more RAM. Basically there's bigger things to heat upRupeeClock said:Funny, regular iPod touches don't overheat in the sun do they? Because the iPad's circuitry is near identical.

Because they're posers, or hipster douchebags.

Hello, PC fanboy.TM2-Megatron said:nando said:just like apple haters.
I'll give Apple credit when they actually release a device that doesn't sacrifice functionality for the sake of aesthetics, or overly crippled hardware that only ends up being more successful than more-capable competing products because Apple is so good at marketing to shallow, image-conscious consumers. I prefer things that actually work, as opposed to it onl being an advertising slogan.

I'll agree with you. The iPad lacks flash and USB ports, but suggesting that the Mac is underpowered is stupid. I have a desktop PC which is abouyt double the power of my Macbook Pro (processors, GFX, RAM, HDD etc.) and my Macbook runs faster. Sorry, but you are wrong.
