Hacking ios222 freezing wii

hey all I am inthe process of modding a wii for a relative as a Christmas gift however I am having an issue I am using modmii if i try to lad a game from usb as 222-224 it freezes. if I attempt to use cfg loader 222 it won't see the hard disk. so far I have remoded the wii 5 times and have had no success any advice would be great.

how's ur hdd formatted\set-up? the problem isn't necessarily with your cIOS it could be with your hdd, in fact nothing could be wrong but some hdd's just aren't compatible, have u checked the compatibility list?

Anyways... u should mainly be using modmii's recommended cIOS249... d2x v7 base 56, so try that too and see if u have better luck than using hermes 222\223.

ok thanks I wil try a different Hdd. I hadn't even thought of it being the hdd

Ok thanks I tried the hdd from my wii and it worked fine so I guess tomorrow I will go Hdd shopping
