Chances are, there is a tethered jailbreak somewhere out there. Untethered? Probably not public yet.

redsn0w can jailbreak all but the 4S and iPad 2 on 5.0 I believe, but for most recent devices it is tethered. Early bootrom 3GS and before are of course untethered, anything after that is tethered only at the moment.

Yes iOS 5 is jailbroken using redsnow but it is tethered and the guide on here explains how to go about using redsnow to jailbreak.

Right now it's a tethered jailbreak for iOS5. An untethered jailbreak is apparently "covered" though.

Its all tethered right now, it seems Apple got their shit together on this iOS version. (Blocking SHSH, etc). Buuuuuuut I'd give it a week, maybe a week and a half?

There is only a tethered jailbreak. There was an "untethered" jailbreak called fastra1n but it was confirmed fake

I'd give it at least a few weeks to a month for an untethered
