Interworks is going to release a new controller for the wii and the wii u. It's kind of an all in one controller. It has a IR-Sensor for tracking and a gyroscope for movement like the Wiimote. It has 2 analog sticks, a d-pad like and shoulder buttons like a classic controller. Sounds like a nice controller.

The open questions for me are:
- what about games that require a nunchuck + wiimote like metroid prime
- does it support motion-plus
- is it compatible with android/PC/PS3 via bluetooth
- are the shoulder buttons analog or digital triggers
- how is the overall build quality
- will it be compatible with games that support the wii u pro controller

From what I've been able to tell, it won't act as a nunchuk, and it won't act as a Pro Controller either, which means the triggers must be digital (ZL and ZR aren't analog on the Classic Controller).

so this controller won't work with wii u gamepad compatibles games like darksiders 2 then? this would have been a bargain if it did, it seems to only work with games that support the wiimote, it's a bit misleading to advertise it as a "wii u pro gamepad" when it's clearly not.

anyone here know how to use METEO?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    It's very simple.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Meteo is like an AVI-to-GBA converter. Just drag-and-drop your AVI file in, and then convert.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, like those gba carts that have movies and tv episodes in them?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
But Nintendo's GBA video format is different, being that it uses a custom ROM and chipset for rendering, for like the Shrek and Shark Tale titles. Been undumpable for years and years.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Meteo uses it's own player.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, those roms are dumped currently, right?

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Although it's kinda pointless to download them anyway since you get the movies in horrible quality
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Yep, they are now, but it took a shit ton of RE'ing.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    RE = reverse engineering
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, can you remind me what reverse engineering meant pls?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Reverse engineering, to put it simply, is to understand how the software or hardware was made.

Lol someone tried using my email to log into Nintendo
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, is that through trial and error sometimes?
