The title basically says it all. The idea that I have is, to be frank, extremely ambitious, and would likely take years to complete even if I did have all the knowledge and experience I need. Still, I don't want to just give up on it, so... does anyone have any recommendations for what to read or what sorts of smaller hacks might be good to use to gain a better understanding of the engine? (I'm pretty sure that Awakening is ideal to use as a base here due to the fact that the hack would take place 15 years before Awakening and feature a couple of the characters from it, but if that's a foolish idea and it's better to hack an earlier game in the series let me know.)
