Hardware Interchangable DVD drives?

Stupid question, I know, but I have an original launch US wii (D2A?)
And I'm not seeing any in shops, if I buy a D2B drive will it work in my wii?

DMS / D2A / D2B / D2C / D2C2 / D2E.... drives from any region will work in your wii... it's not an issue.

A few mod shops sell replacement drives....

The D2B drives are fairly hard to find (and easier to chip...)
