Want to tweet that you liked an Xbox Live commercial about Coca Cola, or get an email from Adidas? No problem! Use your expensive Kinect peripheral to speak to the Xbox and gesture your hands, and your windows phone will remind you that you scheduled to watch a show on TV!

The reaction on youtube to this has been incredibly negative, easily 99% disliked.

Only 99% dislike? wow, that's quite low. I would have expected at lease 100%. Who in their right might would think that teenagers would be so pleased at finding an advert on their system, that they would instantly message their friends about it.
People don't like being advertised at in the first place.

Cool. Turn something annoying into something stupid.

Also, don't people pay for XBox Live? They shouldn't have fucking commercials.

Doing the math, it's actually closer to 97.5% disliked right now.
4 out of 162 people liked it last I checked. And you do get the odd contrarian.

For reasons I do not seem to be able to elaborate upon the rage is building. About the only thing that saved it is that I find the differences in brand name pronunciation highly amusing.

Only the other hand advertisers funding things in a roundabout fashion and/or wasting their money is always amusing to see.

Edit: Re: MS having ads and charging for XBL. I am certainly no fan of paying for live (indeed I do not even have silver or whatever it is called these days) but multiple sources of funding is usually a good thing no?

There are like 1,972 dislikes of the same video by MicrosoftAdvertising.

Wish I could be one of them.

If they got commercials on par with the Super Bowl commercials, then I might want to show these to my friends. I do agree with FAST though.

I don't see what's wrong with it. Microsoft gets more money, right? It's not like your game gets paused, saying "OH HEY YOU LIKE COCA COLA TWEET IT NOW BITCH."

Um, one question...

Who in their right mind would tweet or share a link about a bleddy commercial?! I'll turn on my TV and navigate to Film4 if I want a commercial. Or Dave if I want some life insurance. Not my Xbox.

No, just no.

My brother is the only one in our family that owns a 360, and now you cant even escape accursed TV ad's on it.

Might as well skew the statistics, introduce some bias and make that a 100% Dislike

I would do this too, I mean if I was already a very rich man I would want more money in my pockets by letting users see annonying ads on their online service.

Just saying...
Where do you think the individual cable channels get their funding from? Who do you think provides the actual viewing content, rather than the means to view them?
