I am brand new to the homebrew modding scene and Have just recently gotten my wii to work using the steps in this youtube video

Now im trying to figure out if Im needing to install D2X in addition to wiiflow to get it working since I used Yawmm or if I just need to do the steps for Wiiflow.
Trying not to mess anything up so I'd love some help since im so new

Just start modmii, run the first/main wizard, and follow your custom guide. U don't need anything else

Edit: if u installed all the wads modmii provided from the main wizard u would have installed d2x cios already, u should see it listed in the guide and saved to your wad folder

Oh Okay cool! I just looked at the WAD folder and see the [57] [56] [38]. Thank you clarifying that I wont need to install that here! :) Ill continue on the page and see more of how to get wiiflow from there. As a final question should I see the d2x in the homebrew channel or no?

No u wouldn't see d2x in the hbc. If u want to check what mods you have installed run a syscheck

https://gbatemp.net/threads/posting-a-system-check.300279/

Then u can either share your syscheck.csv here for thoughts on whether it looks good, or u can drag and drop your syscheck.csv onto modmii.exe and it will analyze it and tell u if anything is outdated, and if so, it will generate a guide for u and provide u with the necessary files.
