Hacking Installing Luma & Backing Up Older Gold Plus

Long time lurker, first time posting.

Just recently added a New 2DS XL to my neverending console collection and I can't resist my desire to install CFW onto it. I've done enough reading to have an understanding of the process, just concerned about the flash cart method because my R4 is an older model of Gold Plus and Im concerned about being unable to restore it after it's served it's purpose in the process of installing of CFW to my 2ds xl. Current firmware is 11.4. Attached is an image of the cart. Model number above the pins is ver. 3D.

TLR: Can the flash cart in this picture be restored after being used to install boot9strap? And if so, where can i find the appropriate files for said restoration?

If you're concerned then do the seedminer method, it will only cost you $2. I don't think your cart is in danger if you follow the instructions, but if you don't want to risk paying $15 for a replacement, there's a solution for you.

There should be a number above the far right pin on the back, what is it?

Mm after wasting an couple hours i've decided to give up on using this old flash cart and try other options.

Any mods wanna delete this? I can't find a report button to have my thread removed.
