Hacking Installing IOS249

I'm trying to install Hermes cIOS so I can run USB Loader GX, but this guide says to install it on IOS 249 and when I run the installer, I can't select any IOS 249. I can select 254, but not 249, it doesn't appear. Why can't I select it? Do I have to install it through Wad Manager or somthing?

Just install it to 222 with ios 37 and 38 merged. That loader should be able to be set to that or there should be a special version of that loader that boots up in 222 instead of 249.

I believe that guide is assuming you already have cios 249 installed. It is then suggesting that when you run the installer for Hermes CIOS it will ask you what IOS to use when you install it, meaning what IOS will be loaded to gain access to your wii's nand. You would use 249 as its already patched to have the exploits needed to have permisons to install.

The actaul Hermes CIOS will install to slot 222, 223, or 224 depending on your installer, and what options you chose.

I don't have the option to install to cIOS 222 either. ~___~
How do I fix that?

If you read your guide it says you need waninkoko's cIOS installed to install hermes cIOS for this guide. If you follow this part first: http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/cios/waninkoko then install hermes cIOS's you will be fine.
