I have a micro SD and a usb adapter for it, is it possible to install homebrew and play VC games through it or will i need a full sized SD card.

I also have a flash drive if that is possible aswell.

You need a normal-sized SD card in order to install the Homebrew Channel. If you have an SD adapter for your micro-SD card, that should work too.

Yes, run ModMii on your computer, answer the prompts, and it will generate the files/folders you need to put onto your SD card. Just follow its instructions.
It should be noted that once you have the Homebrew Channel installed, you don't necessarily require an SD card anymore. After the Homebrew Channel is installed, you can run applications and whatnot from USB.

Please, center your questions in the same thread instead of asking the same things (or different things related to hacking your Wii) in different threads.
It will help other users to understand what has already been told to you, and what they need to tell you next in order to help you the best they can.

Rydian already answered your current question, maybe you didn't trust him or thought other users might have different idea, but he was right and you need an SD (or microSD) and use Front slot.

As your goal is to choose and use a backup loader, please use this one instead :
