Hacking installing doom WADS with the wad installer

one cannot be sure maybe id software thought ahead and made it installable in wii or waninkoko just dropped an easter egg into his wad installer application, we just need to test it

I think this guy just got the wrong end of the stick...

but maybe, just maybe there will be a port, similar to the QuakeWii WIP.

It'd be nice to see something that'd play any of those old type of games, a Wii WAD that the end-user just has to provide the original game WAD (doom WAD's) or PK1 files for whichever game.

lol dosent work. it opens the file, then gives me a error saying not enogh memory. the file is 4.00mb, and my wii has 94 blocks free. a 59 block gcn memory card is 4.00mb, i probaly does that cause it dosent know what to do with the file as its not valid

No, it wouldn't work. .wad is just a file format, the doom wads don't have the information packed in to install a channel on the Nintendo Wii.

this is dumb, it wont work, because they have different content, why would you want to install them? you cant load them there level data, you would need doom on your wii
