Hacking Question Install nsp updates?

I downloaded an nsp update for a game, but when I install it it acts as a different title. I mean it's like there are two games, the original is still the same (not updated) and the new one can't be opened. It says I need the game, and tells me to go to eshop. Any idea why this happens?

Than they have different title ID's.
Try to DL the game or the update again (best would be both from 1 stash!)

I had this exact issue, I just deleted the update that showed as a 2nd title and played without it. As a9lh-1user said this will most likely be caused by different title IDs

Yes you're right. It turned out the game was the USA version and the update was EUR version. I just downloaded the USA update. Another thing I noticed is that even if they are from the same region, some games have different title ID's, so if anyone is having this problem, they should read the title ID's. Thanks for your help!
